Dear All,

I am writing to thank you all for the effort and positive vibe during the semester. I hope all the challenges have led you to learn and develop your on interest in the large field of the Built Environment.

For me it was a pleasure to teach you and share enthusiasm about architect and its social and technological twilight zones. I am also very happy to have had Baptiste on the atelier and count with his great dedication and support.

If you would like a Summer reading to expand on the course subject I recommend:

-Shaping Things, by Bruce Sterling:

-Ambiguous Spaces, by N. Jackowski and Ricardo de Ostos (yes!):

Exhibition discipline

June 14, 2011

Dear all,

A quick note on the exhibition.
As explained in my last post, the making of the exhibition is neither optional nor indolent. Therefore it was with a deep disappointment that I found nobody at school this morning. Also I remind you that investment and disciplines should be shown until the end of the semester, which include the exhibition time.

Once again, our meeting time is at 9.30am, in the hall, every morning.

Not to be said Sabine that the exhibition work is not a part-time job,
Martin, where are you? I did not see you yesterday, neither this morning.
Hugo, Michael : thanks for the energy you have shown yesterday. But understand todays presence was also desired.
Clement : only thanks…

I hope I will not have to write such a message again and will not have to loose my time for meeting where nobody come!
Thanks for your cooperation and responsability.

Best,

Baptiste

Exhibition

June 12, 2011

Dear all,

This year again the semester will close with the exhibition of your works. This period of time should be seen as an opportunity for you to communicate your work, to show your interest in a teaching and above all to close with a good note the last three months we spent together.

In order to give us the chance to succeed in the space planning and the making of our exhibition the investment of  everybody is an absolute necessity. That’s why I rely on you to show the same spirit and enthusiasm during the coming week than during this past semester.

Here is the plan:
- Monday and Tuesday will be dedicated to the design of our space and of the printing panels. The team is composed by: Clement, Hugo, Brice, Michael & Sabine. Please start at 9.30 am. I’ll call Hugo or Clement to give you the starting instruction. I’ll come at 11.00am in the computer room to check how the work is going. (I have a meeting at 9.30am and then another at 2.00pm, so I can only rely on your responsibility).

- Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and eventually Sunday will be dedicated to the making of the exhibition. Apart from those cited here before, all of you will be awaited at 9.30am. (I know it’s early, but understand that I also have to work and that my time schedule is unfortunately not flexible). If the making is finished before the expected date, you will be freed and officially in vacation…

Thanks.

Baptiste
